Corgis In Need
Unfortunately, Corgis sometimes end up in shelters. Sweet, adorable puppies grow up and are surrendered by owners who didn't fully understand the commitment they were making when they agreed to take a dog into their home.
The , and its affiliate clubs, provide a temporary home and care for Corgis in need of a new family. Corgis are not a common breed and fortunately, there are not a lot of dogs or puppies that end up in rescue situations. However, on occasion the GHPWCF may have a rescued dog and after careful evaluation, may place the corgi into a loving, qualified home, where they can become a part of a family and wonderful companions for the remainder of their lives.
The program includes:
1. Rescue of Corgis from area shelters and humane societies. Please note majority of the
rescues turned over into the program range from three (3) to seven (7) years old, or
older in some situations. Rarely does the program have puppies turned over into
rescue. Please see current listing below for available listing of corgis in rescue.
2. Veterinary care.
3. Temperament evaluation.
4. Placement into approved homes.
Are you looking to adopt a corgi from our rescue program? To be considered you must submit a rescue application. We ask for a minimum donation of $300 for corgis adopted through our rescue program. This amount may vary depending upon the veterinary needs of the dog.
